I was quite nervous about whether Benjamin would fit in. He has had issues with focus and authority. Since starting classes with Master Jason Nolan and Laurie, he has grown so much. I am excited to watch him learn and change.
My son has been coming to Impact Martial arts for about 2 months now and loves it. This is a place for him to focus, learn, make new friends and grow! Everyone here is friendly, almost feels like a little family. It's great to see everyone working together and helping, especially the older belts. They step right in and help out with moves when a child may seem confused.
My daughter had her first class there on Wednesday and they welcomed her with opening arms and made her feel very comfortable... she had a great time and can not wait to go back Saturday... This has been all she talks about ever since she came home that day... it’s great that they have that sort of impact on such young people...
Senseis Nolan and Bidwell and the entire staff at Impact Martial Arts Dewitt are amazing teachers and tremendous with all of their students from the young beginners to their advanced adults. The manner in which they teach the kids, not only about karate, but about life is incredible. I highly recommend Impact Martial Arts Dewitt for anyone of any age. Thank you for all you do. Keep up the great work.
My family went to TeamDewitt DOJO for years. Our daughter Abby got her black belt here. Support and personal attention you get here is remarkable. Sensei Nolan address every kid by name and provides support in all aspects of kids development. Encourages kids to talk about their school achievements, asks kids to come up with goals as a apart of wholesome experience. My kid, Abby, couldn't wait to show her grades and loved to write about her goals. When it is time for black belt testing, the support you get here is awesome. It is not just Sensei Nolan, entire DOJO's kids, parents cheer your kid to complete various tasks. I have seen some parents volunteer as running coaches for kids. Your kid will also get an opportunity to be a coach to other kids, which most certainly develops leadership skills.
A wonderful group of people who love their job and are amazing with kids.
We tried out a couple other dojo’s before joining Impact Dewitt. So happy with our experience with them... even a year and a half later!
I've been at Impact Dewitt for a few months now and I can't say enough good things about it. The lessons are fun and challenging and the class sizes are usually pretty small which allows for very individualized instruction. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and welcoming to newcomers of any skill level. I love both the workout and the self-defense skills I am learning every week! If you are considering trying Krav Maga I highly recommend going to Impact Dewitt!
Eight years ago, we needed to get our 9 year old son (who was not into team sports) off electronics. Thank goodness we found Impact Martial Arts!! It provided him with structure in a positive learning environment that taught him so much more than self defense!! He learned resilience, focus, dedication, integrity...and many great life lessons leading up to earning his black belt. Master Nolan and his team truly love what they do and it shows in their dedicated spirit. After 8 years of continued training and now a 2nd degree black belt, I can honestly say that Impact MA of Dewitt helped raise my son to be the amazing young adult that he is today!! And that's money well spent!!
Great family-friendly place. The instructions make a point to get to know you, creating a collegial atmosphere. A great workout that feels like a treat!
Our 11 yr old daughter had her first class roughly 3 months ago. Master Nolan and the Impact team have made her feel really comfortable. We are really happy along with the technical defensive skills she is learning...they are teaching and reinforcing valuable life learning skills. She went from not being sure if karate was for her and just going through the motions to get by...to asking us to take her to karate extra days during the week and being vocal and participating in class! She talks about karate a lot at home, it's been great to see her develop a genuine interest in it!
